Logo for Call of Duty XP 2011
I have not been home this weekend and have therefore not written anything. If you are reading this blog you probably know about what Call of Duty have done this previous weekend. And if not, and as a recap, Activision hosted and exxpo for their new game Modern Warfare 3 and for nerding in general. Microsoft helped by sending in several hundreds of XBOX 360's and they had a competition where one person won 1 million dollars! But when Activision hosts an exxpo for the worlds best selling game it isn't just playing games in a crowded area... No they went all out! If you have ever played Modern Warfare 2 online you have probably played on the map called Scrapyard, with a proken plane in the middle. Well, this was created in a human model, where you could come and play paintball. How awesome is that!

And on a mission from the MW2 campaign, you defend your place, which happens to be Burger Town, somewhat of a Burger King, just for the men from Call of Duty. As well as all these awesome happenings, they also held a competition called King Of The Hill, where only the best got the opportunity to sit on the top of the "hill" (a stage). And then of course, you could play MW3. Microsoft used the exxpo to expose an XBOX 360 Modern Warfare 3 Limited Edition Bundle, with the console, two controllers, the game and a headset. All that for just $399, which isn't that bad. It is the same as the Gears of War 3 model. But it is still 2 months left till the game releases, so let's try to avoid this subject for a while, so that we won't be sick of it before it comes out. Battlefield 3, MW3's biggest competitor which uses the FrostBite engine, is a game that releases before MW3 and most people will perhaps buy Battlefield whilst waiting for Modern Warfare 3.
This truly will be the year for gamers. left this year we have; Zelda, Gears of War, Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, Modern Warfare 3, BattleField 3, Skyrim, Dead Island, Resistance 3, Fifa 12, NFS The Run and let's not forget Minecraft coming to XBOX! We will keep busy, that's for sure!
What game are you looking forward to the most?
