HP and their decision making problems...

HP have been a "top" competitor in the fight versus Apple and its iPad, and have sold relatively well, although it has not even been near to sales of the iPad, both 1 and 2. But HP have chosen to stop producing tablets and have also decided to end webOS, their mobile operating system. If you keep updated on twitter, you might have heard about the HP TouchPad going for as low as 99 US dollars online at (amongst others) amazon. This humongous price drop surprised many, and also made many people whip out their credit cards, and get the deal of the year.

<Insert weird choice here> HP suddenly said that they would like to continue producing tablets ond OS, but this was just a rumor. But maybe they appreciated the publicity, and therefore they decided to keep producing their TouchPad for the low cost of $99.

But now the question stands, how can they do this? Someone called IHS iSuppli have estimated the price for the parts and the making of the tablet and if they are correcrt, the estimated price for making the tablet is $318.

They have also announced  that it will take a while before they will be back in the stores. And the price will remain.

Will you get one? I know I will..
